Common Tomato
The common commercial tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) comes in many different shapes & sizes. There are so many varieties that there is definitely a tomato right for you:
Cherry & Grape Tomatoes
Most cherry & grape tomatoes descend from S. lycopersicum, but many of them are hybrids with wild tomatoes, usually the Currant Tomato. This gives them the sweetness of heirloom cultivars, combined with the hardiness of wild tomatoes:
